The birds are chirping, the snow is melting, and the sun is out. In other words, Spring is in the air! I’m so excited to share with you 17 fun Spring activities to add to your bucket list this season. Are you ready? Let’s jump right in!

1. RENT A MOUNTAIN OR A HYBRID BIKE

Craving an outdoor Spring adventure? Rent a mountain or a hybrid bike and head out into the wilderness. You’ll simply need to look up trails near you!

2. VISIT A TERRASSE

Spring has arrived and so has terrace season! Grab a bite to eat, a cocktail (or two), and enjoy good company while visiting a terrace nearby. If you’re lucky, maybe you can even plan to visit a rooftop terrasse. They normally have the best views!

3. PLAN A HIKING ADVENTURE

Yes, Spring usually means mud. But when it’s dry, it’s also the perfect weather to head out on a beautiful hike. For instance, you can plan a long hiking trip with friends, a 1-hour short day hike, a sunset hike, a sunrise hike, or even a weekend getaway to hike outside of the country.

4. HOST A BBQ WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY

With our busy lives, we don’t always take the time to see all of our friends and family. Why not host a BBQ and invite them over for a delicious lunch or dinner?

5. PLAN A CAMPING TRIP OR RENT A CABIN

If you’re looking to disconnect from technology and connect with nature then this one is for you! For instance, you can go camping in a national park, try canoe camping, camping at the summit of a mountain, or you can rent a cabin in the woods.

6. GO FISHING

There’s always time for one more cast! Plan a weekend to go fishing with friends. There are many different styles of fishing. For example, you can go shore fishing, learn how to fly fish, go kayak or canoe fishing, or ice fishing (if it’s still possible in your area during the Spring season).

Most importantly, please make sure you’re properly informed when planning your fishing trip. There are different regulations and rules depending on different areas and zones. Furthermore, sport fishing licenses are mandatory in Québec.

7. EXPLORE A WATERFALL

Let’s go chasing waterfalls! Explore one or many waterfalls this Spring season.

8. HAVE A PICNIC

Planning a picnic? There are so many incredible spots to enjoy a delicious and beautiful picnic. For instance, you can have a picnic at the beach, in a park, at a vineyard, at the summit of a mountain, or even by the waterside while enjoying the sunset.

Pick up some yummy food and beverages from your local shops or book a customized picnic for a best friend’s birthday!

9. PLAN A ROAD TRIP

10. GO KAYAKING, PADDLE BOARDING, OR CANOEING

If you’re an outdoor lover you’ll definitely want to plan a kayaking, paddle boarding, or a canoeing trip with friends this spring! Look up national parks and regional parks in your area to plan your trip.

11. VISIT AN ESCAPE ROOM

Have you ever wanted to visit an escape room? Escape rooms are usually a 1-hour activity where you and your friends are locked in a specific room. You’ll need to solve clues, puzzles, as well as tasks in order to get out!

It’s a fun activity to do indoors on a rainy Spring day!

12. GO FOR AN OUTDOOR WALK OR RUN

The sun is out and the weather is much warmer! Go for daily walks, or start jogging or running again. There’s nothing healthier than moving your body while being outdoors and getting some fresh air!

13. GO BICYCLING OR ROLLERBLADING 

There are so many bicycling and/or rollerblading paths everywhere! Whether you’re in the city, or in the country you can plan a 1-day biking trip or simply go biking early in the morning, after work, or on your days off with the family.

14. TRY OUTDOOR YOGA

Do you enjoy yoga? Look up your local yoga studios and see if they offer outdoor classes!

15. VISIT AN ALPACA FARM

We love alpacas! They’re so adorable. Plan a weekend trip to visit an alpaca farm nearby. There are a few located around the province of Québec near Montreal, as well as Charlevoix.

16. GO MINI-PUTTING

The sun is out and it’s getting much warmer! Plan a family day and head out for some mini-putting fun. If it’s raining, head out to a glow-in-the-dark indoor mini-putting course.

17. SEE A MOVIE AT THE DRIVE-IN

The movie drive-ins are starting to open back up again! Find a movie you’re interested in and watch it sitting outdoors or in your car while enjoying some yummy popcorn!
