This is where my story begins
Do you remember those disposable cameras we had back in the 90s? We would head to the closest store to pick one up for family trips or birthday parties. We’d purchase one, snap a maximum of 27 photos, bring it to get developed (printed), and then throw it out. We were able to capture a moment in time with no idea how the images would turn out! We were so excited to receive that phone call when our photos were developed and ready for pickup. I still have all seven photo albums filled with memories, each telling its own story.

Today, technology has evolved drastically. Most of us keep everything digitally. We can capture these memories or create stories using imagination, skill, and creativity.
I was born and raised in the ’90s
I was born and raised in the southwest region of Québec in Canada. As a kid, my hobbies included playing dress-up and having my parents videotape my catwalks and music dances. Back then, they were all shot on a camcorder and recorded on cassettes. I also loved parks, the outdoors, camping, watching Disney movies, and singing. I had a karaoke machine and would sing every evening after school.
As I got older, I enjoyed spending time with friends, going on family trips, biking, road trips, writing, and journaling. During this time, we used MSN to chat online and had a MySpace social media account.

A blast from the past
Growing up, my parents brought us on many outdoor adventures. They rented a cottage or campsite every summer. We would make campfires, head kayaking, paddle-boating, swimming, biking, fishing, and hike.
I loved the beach, outdoor activities, and especially being in the water. We snapped photos and recorded videos everywhere we went. Around this time, my dad would transfer these family videos into CDs, where we would watch them at home through DVD players.
Most of our adventures occurred in Québec, Ontario, and Vermont. I didn’t step on a plane until I was in my 20s!

Fast forward to the 2020 pandemic
As a young adult in my twenties, I had many obstacles to overcome. I experimented and learned a lot. I read many non-fiction books and tried various courses to find what I truly wanted to do with my life. After many years of trial and error, I was still uncertain.
When the 2020 pandemic hit, everything changed. After losing my job due to the pandemic, I luckily moved back in with my parents. This time was painful, traumatic, lonely, and very difficult, but it was also a blessing in disguise for me. It taught us an important lesson on how short life is.
I now had all the time in the world to discover myself. Instead of looking outwards and trying to become someone, I decided to look inwards to see who I was and what made me happy. I decided to peel off layers, just like an onion. Layer by layer, I discovered that helping others, being in nature, and adventuring had always brought me immense joy. Naturally, I decided to follow that.

My journey to becoming a content creator
For the next year, I traveled within my province and explored places I never knew existed. I decided to take social media seriously and helped others discover the beauty of our backyards by creating and sharing photo and video content online.
I had a breakthrough moment. I was so happy doing what I loved. I finally felt a sense of passion, purpose, and fulfillment. That day, I promised myself that I would do whatever it took, for as long as it took to become a full-time creator. There was no going back.

Life is short, do what you love
With consistency and perseverance, many failures, and lessons learned, I reached my goal and became a content creator.
I’ve worked with various brands, tourism boards, airlines, and accommodations. I create photo and video content for their projects, websites, and social media pages. I also offer partnerships on Instagram and TikTok when they align with my online community.
I’m now on a new mission to improve my skill set. I’m in school for Video Production and Storytelling.
